The Mount Vision has been a first choice for many XC racers for years. This year the appeal has been broadened with further improvements to the QUAD format, bringing all the linkages inside the main triangle, out of the way of mud and driving the rear shock directly off them.
This has allowed Marin to push the travel up to 5 inches (120mm) on all of their QUAD XC bikes resulting in supple all-terrain munching machines.
Equipment levels are very high. There's a Fox Float 32 RL fork with lockout, a Fox RP23 ProPedal rear shock and a Hope hub / Mavic XM-317 wheelset. The groupset features Shimano XT throughout with the bonus of an XTR rear derailleur.
Marin have also paid attention to the details. There's an FSA carbon seatpost to compliment the FSA stem and headset and the popular Crank Bros Candy C pedals.
Avid Juicy Carbon hydraulic disc brakes provide the ultimate in stopping power.
