It's easy to think that the FSR XC range of bikes is the little brother to the Stumpjumper, but that's not really the case. True, they share the fundamental principles of their suspension layout, but the FSR XC is much more focussed on covering the sort of ground that most XC riders encounter out on the trails.
With it's four bar rear suspension, the FSR XC is a plush ride that just eats bumps. It's also remarkably good value as theirs a lot of kit packed into it's M4 alloy, heavily manipulated frame.
The FSR XC Comp comes with a great tracking Rock Shox Recon 335 fork with 100mm of travel, coil springs, rebound adjustment and lockout and an X Fusion rear shock that's tuned to Specialized's requirements. The gearing consists of 9 speed Shimano Deore shifters, an XT rear derailleur and Octalink crankset.
The popular Avid Juicy 3 hydraulic disc brakes keep everything under control.
