It's easy to think that the FSR XC range of bikes is the little brother to the Stumpjumper, but that's not really the case. True, they share the fundamental principles of their suspension layout, but the FSR XC is much more focussed on covering the sort of ground that most XC riders encounter out on the trails.
With it's four bar rear suspension, the FSR XC is a plush ride that just eats bumps. It's also remarkably good value as theirs a lot of kit packed into it's M4 alloy, heavily manipulated frame.
The FSR XC Disc comes with a Rock Shox Tora 302 fork with 100mm of travel, coil springs and lockout and an X Fusion rear shock that's tuned to Specialized's requirements. The gearing consists of 9 speed Shimano Deore shifters, an LX rear derailleur and Octalink crankset.
Hayes Sole hydraulic disc brakes keep everything under control.
