Intense Cycles are based in Temecula, California in the United States and made their name with the legendary M1 downhill bike of the early nineties.
The Socom frame is an evolution of the latest M3 concept and is also based ont eh Six Point Six and Uzzi frames with 8 inches of rear travel, a virtual pivot path to it's travel and monocoque aluminium body. It has an oversized head tube to accept forks with 1.5 inch steerers and travel up to 200mm.
The frame is also designed very much with fast downhill in mind with space for only one chainring and Intense warrant the bike for use with 203mm disc rotors as well. The dropouts are compatible with a 12mm bolt through axle and rear hub spacing can be either 135mm or 150mm. A very configurable downhill machine.
